IF: Boundaries- Green Octopus

Study for a lady/"monster" themed piece!

I also felt this fit with Illustration Friday's "Boundaries" theme because I like how her hair is sort of a tentacle and how the boundary between what is her and what is the octopus....

The Pelican

So, a few weeks ago, we scattered my father in law's ashes in the ocean. He had always said that he wanted to come back as a pelican, since you just hang out all day and eat fish. When we went to scatter his ashes, three pelicans came out of nowhere, flew around the boat, and hung out for a few minutes before flying away. It was quite sweet and touching; a very good omen that Patrick was with us!

Mermaid drawings at Cactus Gallery

I've been creating a whole bunch of super simple sketches to sell at Cactus Gallery's upcoming Drawing/Sketch show on their cash and carry wall. These 5"x7" beauties are matted and hand drawn on pages from a vintage National Geographic book about the South Pacific.

$5 with matte/clear envelope, $8 with frame! If interested, either contact me or after tomorrow, Sandra M at Cactus Gallery!

STOP! Hammertime!

Shark Week Mermaid!

In honor of shark week, I am drawing sharks with mermaids!

Waif-ish type of mermaid queen

Betta Mermaid
