Better watch out

It is a holiday miracle.

I actually have a present wrapped and under the tree and Christmas is still over 2 weeks away.

I am normally a Christmas eve shopper/wrapper/ . . . "ah crap here it is in the sack cause I ran out of time" kind of girl.

Right about now I am so proud of myself. I even bought the gift on Ebay.  Go Lori!

BTW, do you think that my Santa wrapping paper is a little scary or is it just me? (Kind of looks like a Santa mug shot). This past summer I went to a garage sale and this family was moving to Florida and they were selling everything including all their wrapping paper/bows/gift boxes/tags etc. and a sweet carrying case for $3. Of course, I bought it. Unfortunately it appears that the family bought up all the ugly paper in town.

I  was planning on taking the whole day off today and going to Denver to go shopping with my mom.  Unfortunately we awoke to a snow storm--  so we decided to scrap that idea.

So I am going over to her house and we are going to make tamales instead.

See you in about 3.5 pounds : )

PS: Today is my sweet and awesome mother-in-law's birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDY!  We love you. Hope you have a great day.

Land of the Free (falling) and the Home of the Rave

Hey blogland! I hope everyone had a great holiday.  I can't wait to share my 4th of July roundup later (because I know the world wants to know how much beer I drank. Hint: a lot).

Anywhoo, I have been offline for the past several days while we had guests in town and while we were getting our summer on. This morning I had a lot of catching up to do.  I got the internets fired up and lo and behold -- this is the first thing I see.

(in case it isn't clear, the red banner reads: Watch Live: Lindsay Lohan appears in court for a probation hearing)

I don't know if BP got that little situation in the Gulf of Mexico taken care of or what the heck is going on with the troops in Afghanistan, but I know exactly what Lindsay Lohan is doing at this very moment. God bless America! Some things never change.

In other bad news, the symbol now known as Prince is predicting the end of the world wide web.

"The internet's completely over. . .The internet's like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good."

Sorry bloggers. You no good. So says Prince. I am donning my raspberry beret and having a moment of silence to say good-bye to my BFF, the WWW.

Read more: here.

UPDATE:  I don't know how Prince could find fault with the awesome machine that allows me to watch streaming court hearings involving Lilo making lame excuses for her drunk ass. Oh, and my free legal advice to Lindsay:  It is not a good idea to give the judge (who determines if you go to the pokey) your best Mean Girls bitch face for 4 hours. Just a thought.

Mother's Day Recap

Hope all you mammas and mamma fans had a happy day!

I had a fabulous day with family and friends.  Of course my mom and Eric were here as were my brother Mike and family, my crew and our good friend, Elizabeth. My sweet in-laws could not come because my MIL has jury duty tomorrow morning.  I say convict them,  whatever they did : )

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE DAY

There were a lot of flowers:

In addition to flowers, Chase gave me this:

We ate a lot of good food.

 We laughed a lot:

We got silly drinking this:

Which may or may not have led to some cheating while playing this:

While that was going on, the outdoorsmen preferred to do this:

Hope it was a good one for you and your family too!

THE END.

PS. It is Lorraine's 40th birthday today. Woot-Woot!! Put yo hands in the air. Does it make me mean if I am glad she has joined the 40s ranks with me?

Happy Birthday Lorraine!

Mucho love,
