They were on TEEVEE, preempting my decent Wed. night shows that I usually watch (Modern Family, Cougar Town and sometimes The Middle). BTW I do not like that show that ABC tried to sneak in there -- Better With You. I fail to see the humor in that show. And re: The Middle, I am generally opposed to Mrs. Bible-beater Patricia Heaton, but the kids on the show are really funny, especially the daughter.
Back to CMAs: Matt has a thing for Miranda Lambert (or her music )so he was down with watching.
My Top 10 (mostly catty) CMA Observations:

4. I do not like Sugarland or white spandex pants.
5. That guy from Lady Antebellum is Katherine Heigel's brother-in-law. (I had to google to see what the heck she was doing there). Oh and why is that band called Lady Antebellum? Is that even appropriate?
6. I did not miss Faith Hill at all. She bugs me for some reason. I do, however, looooove Tim MCGraw (maybe I am just jealous).
7. Nicole Kidman's dress was just terrible. I think this was her little way of telling us all that she hates country music.
8. Reba is awesome. And side note: She is from the same part of Oklahoma that I am and I do not have that crazy twang and neither does Carrie Underwood (who is also from that same area). Sometimes I think Reba is faking it and sometimes I think Dolly Parton might be faking it too. But then again, my brother Mike has lived here in Colorado for 20++ years and he has a Green Acres accent so I don't really know).
9. Every single time I see LeeAnn Rimes, I am mesmerized by her giant nostrils.
