Giveaway Winner!

I finally have the results from my giveaway!  Thank you to every one who entered and told me your favourite beauty products; I had a great time reading them and now a list as long as my arm of things I want to now try!

To find the winner of the competition I typed all of your names up into a Word document, typing your name twice if you added a link to your blog.  All together I had an amazing 132 entries.  I then used Random Generator to randomly chose a number between 1 and 132 and then winner was number 68!

which was Claire (The Fashion Freak)!

CONGRATUALTIONS CLAIRE!  Her favourite product was Urban Decay’s Naked Palette which I am definitely going to put on my birthday list!  I’ve sent you an email Claire, and will ship the prizes off shortly!

Christmas contest coming soon

Hi Christmas is just around the corner and as usual I have done nothing. In fact im lazy in that I would rather order off the internet rather than spend hours walking round the shop s(dont get me wrong I love shopping), then to be annoyed when I see the same thing I purchased has been significantly reduced in the new year sale grrr.

But at least I have finally got together after much diliberation my blog Christmas give away. Yes one lucky follower will be winning a gorgeous prize and I have decided to give four things away to one person. There will be something from Mac,  Barry M,  sleek and illamasqua. oh and not forgetting the obligitory christmas false lashes as well.

I am 98% sure this will amaze you

What the heck? I recently found the craziest of all bargains.

A dust ruffle that retailed for $559.00(????????) --found at the local ARC thrift for $6.99. That is like a savings of a lot of percent.

Hold on. I just googled it and that is a 98+ % savings. 

Who in their right mind would pay $559 for a dust ruffle?

Here it is on my bed. Does it look like it is a $500+ dust ruffle???

I left the tag on just in case their are any doubters.

In other bargain news,

I got this picture for FREE at a garage sale.

This beotch could give me nightmares.

She had to go.

I just minused her and added some paint that I had laying around in the garage.

Much better now, dontcha think?

I am thinking of blowing up a black and white wedding picture to put in the frame. The picture would have to be 18x 24. Not sure if I need to see myself quite so large.  

Oh and I got these vintage Pyrex (uh-- as if I really need anymore).

$3 for the large, $2 for the small.


And more FREE--  flowers and branches from my yard. (I love summer).

And in the last of the thrifty news, I have a winner for my 100 post thrift store giveaway. I had Matt pick a number between 1-14 and he chose 11.

Congrats to Simone of Simone Says. She is a fantastic writer. Go check it out. 

Simone, I will be thrift shopping for your prize soon --but I don't know if I can top my latest purchase (not that you want a dust ruffle).

I have seen other bloggers post "100 things about me" for their 100th post. Meehhh. I don't think so. I thought I would do something a little different because I am certain that you already know way more about me than you would ever want to.

(If you really want to torture yourself, read this post.)


Then there are other bloggers who have sponsors and do "giveaways" of products they receive. I don't play that game and I just say NO to all commercialism.  I don't judge other bloggers for that, it is just not my style. And it has nothing to do with the fact that I have zero sponsors. If you have ever read my blog,  I am sure that you would not be surprised to learn that Nike, Diet Coke and Boone's Farm are all dying to get in on the action.

 Well what is it then????
