3B Show at Gallery 1988: Venice

Sorry for the lack of posts!

I have a good explanation, I swear! Last month, I was offered (and accepted!) a most wonderful opportunity up in San Francisco at a company called Crowdstar, where I'm now animating and working on all types of fun facebook and mobile games! Whoo!

Anyway, yes, I have a HUGE backlog of drawings to scan in and post, but in the meantime, here are some pieces for the next show I'm in!

If you're in Los Angeles, or are a fan of any of these movies, this show is a MUST SEE!

REMINDER!!! 3G show opens tonight!!!

Here are my pieces for the Autumn Society's 3G show at Gallery 1988 opening TONIGHT!!

The 3 Gs of 3G are Ghostbusters, Gremlins, and Goonies, so each artist had to interpret all three movies in three separate pieces.

3G Show with Autumn Society at G1988

Here are my pieces for the Autumn Society's upcoming 3G show at Gallery 1988.

The 3 Gs of 3G are Ghostbusters, Gremlins, and Goonies, so each artist had to interpret all three movies in three separate pieces.

These were super fun to make; I was very inspired by old Victorian portraits of children with their pets & dolls, and was thinking about the iconic elements of all three movies that would pair well with children/young adults. And people who know my art know I love drawing/painting ladies and animals, so this was a way to marry the theme with my style.

I wanted to also make them very somber and ornate, like small Victorian cameos, hence the framing technique.
