If you find out that your spouse or mate or partner is cheating there are several things to consider:

• Is this first time this has happened? Yes, maybe there were signs of trouble in your relationship that you ignored. No, this is the second or third time - dump him already.
• Have you been faithful to him? If no, then think about it before you act. If yes, then you have to figure out if it is worth staying in the relationship.
• Are you married to him? Marriage is a different commitment from dating. If he is your boyfriend you have to wonder what he will do when you are married.
• How long have you been together? If you met him a couple months ago and you find out he is unfaithful...run far away, he is not worth your time...only if the commitment between the both of you was established as monogamous.

• Do you have kids with this person? No, then he does not have to be involved in your life long term. Yes, well maybe you should consider if it is worth staying together. Don't do it only for the kids if the connection between both of you cannot be salvaged.
• Can you forgive? If you are going to bring up his infidelity after you forgave him every time you have an opportunity then maybe you really can't forgive. If you decide to forgive someone you start from a new beginning that does not mean you forget but don't become Mommie Dearest either.
• Is the relationship you have with him worth saving? If there were problems brewing before in the relationship that you have not addressed and his affair is another notch on the "my guy is a loser" roster then is it really worth it? There are other men out there will treat you with respect.

• Was this a one night stand? Or did he cheat on you with an ex-girlfriend or a friend or worse someone related to you or one of your girlfriends. Yes, to anyone of these questions will lead to more baggage to deal with and it involves other people.
• Is he a player?  If yes, then chances of him being committed to you long term is a big fat NO.

Many women wonder why men cheat? Every day? because it either happens to them or they wonder when or if it will happen to them.

No one wants to be cheated on by anyone unless that person does not believe in monogamy.

I personally believe it is possible to love more than one person but I ride my own train..the reality train...I joke, no really I don't think it is possible to be with only on person forever unless you are lucky to find your soulmate.

I have a ton of male friends (all types) that share the truth with me about women. I also have spoken with women that were cheated on as well.  Of course cheating not only happens to women but also men. Recent surveys show that women are cheating more than ever. According to Truth About Deception website, as women become more financially independent, women are starting to act more like men with respect to infidelity because it is the old adage that men cheat more than women.

Personally, I believe people cheat when there are bored with their sex life, insecure or simply because they can OR maybe it's because we are not meant to be with only one person for the rest of our lives and we keep fighting the inevitable. Don't hate me because I'm honest with my opinion:). We are mammals and no other mammel in our species is monogamous.

Believe me, I am not trying to convince or convert you, if you are truly happy in your relationship be thankful, live and prosper.
So what is the point of this article, shouldnt I share ways to figure out if your significant other is cheating?

I think the best advice I can give to in response to why do men cheat is what you need to consider when you find out he has been unfaithful.

It hurts when anyone is betrayed no matter what the reason. It is important to really figure out what you should do next.

Trust is one of the most important value in any relationship and once it is broken it is difficult to regain but not impossible...anything is possible.
