March came in like a Lion-- and so did April

I thought I better use it or lose it.

I almost forgot how to even log into my blog.

Where have I been?  Just doing stuff.  Mostly working.  That is all.  Nothing earth shattering. Work and (of late) working out.  It is T minus 3 weeks until I am on the sunny shores of Cozumel.  My body is better suited to hiding under massive coats and strategically placed scarves. Ha!

Oh-- I just endured a Mr. Toad's Wild Ride of a weekend.

Spring time in the Rockies. I tell ya.

Saturday was gorgeous. Matt and I got up early and went and had blood drawn at the 9 NEWS Health Fair at the high school. Why? Because that is what middle aged people do.  If you are a male and middle aged you also get your blood checked for prostrate issues.  Fun.

On the way home -- we were lucky enough to run into a garage sale. First of the season.  Woohoo.  What did I score?? A brand spanking new Schwinn cruiser-- perfect for riding around the lake. I did not take a pic-- but this is what it looks like:
$5 is what I paid.

I also got a (faux?) Coach purse in perfect condition for $1.  I am really off to a good start this season!  I need to make out a garage sale list for the summer. I  really want to find a Le Creuset Dutch oven for under $20.

Preferably one like this orange one.

But I will take any color I find.

So anyway, moving on to Sunday.  Matt and I were volunteering at a charity walk for the SANE (sexual assault nurse examiner) Program  at our hospital.  BONE CHILLING, ICE IN YO FACE COLD does not even begin to describe the longest mile and a half I have ever walked.

Here are a couple of pics that I managed to take between complaints:

Oh and this is really Colorado and not Mt. Everest. Promise.

BTW-- there was a delicious catered lunch once we got to the hospital.  PS:  I wanted to cry on my way there, but there was a four year old walking right next to me the entire way who did not complain for one second. She thought it was a great adventure. Little mountain girl! .

check out the entertainment.   HA!

Anway, good thing I decided that the event called for a an extra dose of mascara.  What was I thinking???

Are you thinking what I am?  I really need to do something about that frown wrinkle right?  I am on it. I am getting botox on that this week. It has finally come to this.  I am not even lying and I don't care who knows.
