There is something you need to know about mi esposo: for every minute that I spend in the thrift store, Matt spends on-line looking at dogs. He is always showing me this dog or that dog who needs a home or some other such story. So as it turns out, this lady in South Park posted an ad back on Oct. 19th stating that she needed a home (that day) for her dog as she was moving and could not take the little fellow. Matt responded knowing that in a worst case scenario we could find the dog a home. So anyhow, the lady gave the dog to this guy Bob to foster and gave him our telephone number. And so three weeks later Bob called.
So as fate would have it, this morning we hit the road for Park County.
I was nervous all the way home wondering how Murphy was going to handle this turn of events. You know he is my tiny little love and the two of us are practically joined at the hip. So I had concerns in the jealousy department. (Callie is a sweet thing and I knew she would not care at all).
Here is how it all went down:
Come on in, little fella.
Callie gets a sniff.
Murph gets a sniff.
Matt gets a lick.
It is a race to see who can get in Matt's lap the first.
Don't worry boys.
There is plenty of love to go around.
The neighbors are checking out the new kid on the block.
(who has plenty of fur for the snowy winter ahead)
Any open lap is a target.

Just in time for the Holidays!
As I am typing this both little 4 year olds are wrestling around. Our new baby goes by the name "Purcey" but we have not 100% decided on keeping that name as is sounds a lot like "Murphy." BUT -- then again I don't know how I feel about changing a dog's name that he has had for 4 years.What do you think???
We are very excited and think he is going to be a great fit for our family. You know what they say about Summit County Colorado? To be a true local, you have to have more dogs living in your house than people.
We are working on it.
PS:
We don't really know too much about the little guy, but he is a love. Bob thinks that Purcey may have had some kind of procedure done in the past because he doesn't bark-- but he did not really know. The good news is that he is nuetered and all his shots are up to date (and he did not cost us a penny other than the gas money we spent to go pick him up).

We already love him to pieces even though we have only had him a few hours.
