I know it is not quite the 4th of July, but I like to start the party early. Is it ok to have a mojito at 9am? I kid. I am only having a Coor's Light. I am getting ready for the big holiday in a big way. We are having company and my little community's population explodes over this big weekend. It is insane! If I don't come back by Tuesday, call the cops because that means my pontoon adventure went south.
The 4th (of course) is the grand Pooh-Bah of summer, but there are so many events (most FREE) over the course of the season that sometimes it is hard to remember that you are not on permanent vacation.
This is what we have been up to:
FRISCO BBQ CHALLENGE: 35,000 attend!
Above is our local OCD guy. He travels around our entire county either on foot or via our free bus system. He avoids breaking his mama's back by stepping over the cracks. Matt and I saw him on the interstate the other day.
Me: Holy crap! What is OCD doing on the interstate? He is going to get killed.
Matt: He is on vacation.
Me: ?????
Matt: No cracks on the highway. He just wanted a nice relaxing walk.
Me: You are demented.
We have also been hiking (nothing too crazy because of my ankle). These shots are from Cataract Lake.

This is my friend Elizabeth. She had her car worked on that day. She invited the mechanic to come along (the guy next to her). She is friendly like that.
Colleen did not bring her mechanic.
