Happy Channukah!

Did I spell that right? Today Chase informs me that he wants to make a Channukah dinner. Why the heck not? I own a menorah. Let's do it. (btw we have a religion free home so don't tell me if this post is not kosher).

About Chase: He really likes to do things all the way. When he was about 3 years old and rode the little horse ride at the grocery store, he did not just sit on the ride. He became a cowboy. Imaginary hats were tipped, imaginary lassos were swung. Yee-haws were exclaimed. It was hilarious. Later in elementary school, he did not just watch a football game. Banners were made and taped to the wall. Pads and helmets were donned. First downs and touchdowns were re-enacted in the living room. Now that he is an adult, he is a very mellow dude. However, every once in a while I see a little glimpse of my Chasey-pooh.

Today was one of those days:

He spent the day cooking our feast. We ate delicious food, listened to Channukah music (which reminded me of Fiddler on the Roof) and just had a really wonderful evening. We may need a TRADITION ( that line was written in my head to the tune of the same name from Fiddler).
